BREAKING NEWS: For the first time in 12 years, the original cast of the short lived musical LENNON (featuring the music of John Lennon) is reuniting at Feinstein?s/54 Below this fall. The concert is set for October 9th, 2017 (what would have been John Lennon’s 77th birthday) at 9:30pm.

Expecting to take the stage are the show’s original cast members Will Chase, Tony winner Chuck Cooper, Julie Danao-Salkin, Mandy Gonzalez, Marcy Harriell, future Tony nominee Chad Kimball, Julia Murney, Michael Potts, Don Scardino, and more.

LENNON was a full Broadway musical about the life of the acclaimed singer/songwriter which featured 12 actors (of all sexes) all playing John Lennon. It was all inspired by Lennon’s song I AM THE WALRUS with the lyrics saying “I am he, as you are he, as you are me, and we are all together”. It featured all of Lennon’s acclaimed songs including MOTHER, LOOK AT ME, BEAUTIFUL BOY, and his signature anthem IMAGINE.

The show premiered in San Francisco with a messy script. It was supposed to play another Pre-Broadway tryout in Boston afterwards but went back to NYC to revamp the whole production. However when it did open on Broadway at the Broadhurst Theatre in August 2005, the show received the worst reviews in Broadway history. It only ran for a total of 91 performances (42 previews and 49 regular performances).

This concert not only celebrated the journey of the show heading to Broadway but to reflect on the acclaimed career of one of the most incredible talented singer/songwriters of them all…the one and only John Lennon.
