Everyone’s favorite matchmaker promised to NEVER GO AWAY AGAIN and she didn’t keep that promise. Due to recent low ticket sales, last year’s Tony winning revival of Hello, Dolly on Broadway is set to say SO LONG DEARIE this Summer (after over 500 performances) at the Shubert Theatre. The show will play its final performance on August 25th, 2018.

In addition, it has just been announced that the revival’s original Tony winning stars The Divine Bette Midler (the titular role of the beloved matchmaker “Dolly Levi”), David Hyde-Pierce (the Grumpy “Horace Vandergelder”) ,and recovered cast member Gavin Creel (the energetic co-worker “Cornelius Hackl”) are all set to return for the final 6 weeks beginning July 20th, 2018.

The production’s current stars leads Tony winner Bernadette Peters along with Tony nominees Victor Garber and Santino Fontana are all set to take their final bows on July 15th, 2018.

Tickets for the final 6 week engagement return of Bette, David, and Gavin will go on sale April 28th, 2018.

In addition as previously announced, this production is set to embark on a North American National Tour this Fall in Cleveland (starring the legendary Tony winner Betty Buckley).

Who is sad to see a great production end?
