BREAKING NEWS: It has just been announced that one of the most beloved spots for all Theater lovers everywhere has been saved thanks to some of Broadway's best and the geniuses of one the most hottest shows still impossible to get tickets for. Yup, Hamilton's Lin-Manuel Miranda, director Thomas Kail, producer Jeffery Seller, and The Nederlander Organization have all teamed up and purchased the Drama Book Shop.

This past Fall 2018, the Theater community received the most tragic news about the 101 year old bookstore (which sells scripts, books, sheet music, and all things needed for those who love theater) closing due to an increase in the rent. All those involved with theater helped speak up and a miracle has been fulfilled.

Sadly, the shop's long time home on West 40th Street will close on January 20th, 2019. However, it will reopen at a new location (expecting to be somewhere in midtown) beginning this Fall 2019.

Who is so excited?
