Our play, Bohemian Valentine, is a passion project of ours that we have been working on for two years now.  Set in New York City, our play follows Michael, a young man who’s recently lost the love of his life.  Over the past three years, he has been struggling from day to day, as he can no longer tell his memories from his reality.  Trying to find a way to cope, he decides to start photographing his memories he spent with his girlfriend with a Polaroid camera, planning to take the pictures with him when he leaves everything behind.  Bohemian Valentineis a darkly funny and frank look at love and loss, with an amazing, original score by Daniel A. Weiss (Assistant Conductor of the original Off and On Broadway productions of RENT, Musical Director of Anthony Rapp’s upcoming one man show Without You).

First, Boomerang Theatre produced a small staged reading of it in 2012 (Directed by Kent Burnham) and then Planet Connections Festivity selected it to be one of their 2013 staged readings, where it was nominated for Best Staged Reading, Best Actress: Tracy McDowell, and won Best Director: Kent Burnham.  And now, the full staged production has been selected to perform in the 2014 New York International Fringe Festival!  We are SO proud of the play and the cast is INCREDIBLE.  Now we need YOUR help to help us bring this play to the New York stage!

About The West Village Musical Theatre Festival:

The West Village Musical Theatre Festival (WVMTF) offers writers, composers, lyricists, actors, and directors the opportunity showcase original works in a professional setting.

We believe there is a little “Village” in all of us, so we  challenge every participant to show us something new, refined, daring and that belongs to the artist alone. This mission goes well beyond the stage, and permeates the lives of the community we wish to create through our art: a community of emerging professionals that invoke the spirit of one of the most creative areas in New York City.

We are so happy to have donated to their cause! You still have time to see a show! Check out their website: and then hurry and get tickets!

Algonquin Arts Theatre’s Annual Gala Village People

Algonquin Arts Theatre’s annual gala is our single biggest fundraising event of the year featuring a high-profile headliner and honoring members of their community for the support of our mission. All proceeds from ticket sales, raffles, our extremely popular silent auction, sponsorships and journal ads go directly back into the educational and main stage programs here and help us keep ticket prices to our shows and performances affordable to all.

This event has a live auction that we are donating gift certificates too to help aid them in their cause. For ticket information please visit their website:

Klingon Hulagins of the American Cancer Society

The Klingon Hulagins of the American Cancer Society- Relay for Life is holding their annual Chinese Auction that will take place on May 2nd 2014. The Klingon Hulagins are dedicated to raising awareness and funds to help cancer patients and research for a cure. The Chinese Auction will be a fundraiser where valuable prizes are charitably donated by local businesses. The cancer patients are the ones ultimately benefiting from our kindness. All proceeds raised are used in many ways. Such as car service to and from treatments and Dr. Appointments. Wigs for hair loss of chemo patients and of course research to find a cure and end this terrible disease.

For more information about their relay for life event and Chinese auction visit their page:

We will be donating gift certificates to help aid their auction and cause.

Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation

“Parents founded JDRF in 1970 with a goal of helping their children by funding research to find a cure for a poorly understood and often deadly disease. Their efforts brought us all closer to life-changing therapies and the journey continues today. It is up to us to take their vision across the finish line. JDRF is your best partner for translating discoveries into life-changing advances and a cure.

One fact is inescapable: increased funding is essential to reach our goal. Clinical trials and clinical development is increasingly expensive. Basic research in mice is costly but proof of effectiveness, safety and market preparation in humans is even more so.

As successful as we have been to date, we know that the gap between where we are now and delivering life-changing therapies on the horizon is large. We need to increase the number of dollars we deploy annually so we can exploit the exciting opportunities in front of us. Your contribution will help change the pace of T1D advancements, accelerating progress down the path to improving lives and curing T1D.”
