Dear Theater Fans,

Today is going to be an amazing day because its the night of the Tony Awards celebrating Broadway’s biggest night.

However, it’s also a little bit bittersweet because the Broadway company of the Tony and Grammy winning smash hit Dear Evan Hansen looses its original scene stealer Will Roland as he takes his final bow this afternoon.

The actor who created the role of the wisecracking high school nerd “Jared Kleinman” has been with the Pasek and Paul musical since the very beginning of it’s early workshops. He was part of the show’s world premiere in Washington DC at Arena Stage back in 2015 and the Off Broadway run at Second Stage Theater back in 2016 before officially bringing the show to Broadway in 2017 earning him rave reviews and a huge fan base.

Beginning this Tuesday night, June 12th, 2018 at the Music Box Theatre, Sky Lakota-Lynch takes over the role of “Jared Kleinman”.

With Will Roland leaving, it marks 4 of the original Broadway cast of Dear Evan Hansen gone.

Speaking of Will, he’s not going anywhere on the New York stage because he has an exciting gig coming up this Summer. You will be able to see him as gears up for the Off Broadway premiere of Joe Iconis’s rock musical Be More Chill. That show will begin previews on July 26th, 2018. Opening Night will be August 9th, 2018, and will run through September 23rd, 2018 at The Irene Diamond Stage at the Pershing Square Signature Theatre Center.

Happy Trails and Break a leg on your new adventure Will!
