Earlier this week at a Luncheon for the Tony Awards, special Awards were already given out to some of the most incredibly talented people who have made their mark here in the New York Theater scene. The recipients are….

SPECIAL TONY AWARD – Sonny Tilders and Creature Technology Company Company Tony for the creation of the most complex marionette wowing audiences 8 times a week…. The title character in the smash hit King Kong on Broadway,

TONY HONORS FOR EXCELLENCE IN THE THEATER Peter Entin for an incredible legacy for 43 years working as the Vice President of The Shubert Organization (the oldest and largest Chain of Broadway Theater owners). Not only he worked the New York houses, Entin also ran their owened houses in Boston, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC. He also gave back and did so much for The Broadway League, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, The Actors Fund, and more,

TONY HONORS FOR EXCELLENCE IN THE THEATER – Joseph Blakely Forbes for painting so many sets for Broadway's greatest shows for the past 40 years. He is the founder of the Scenic Art Studios (the premiere scenic painting studio for Broadway scenery and now counts more than 350 Broadway productions in its work portfolio). He also created The Studio And Forum Of Scenic Art (which helps train the next generation of Theater Scenic Painters),

TONY HONORS FOR EXCELLENCE IN THE THEATER – Michael McElroy for creating Broadway Inspirational Voices (a diverse, professional choir of Broadway artists, united to change lives through the power of music and service).

SPECIAL TONY AWARD – Jason Michael Webb for creating the most unbelievable vocal arrangements for one of this year's nominated plays CHOIR BOY. In the story, the music and storytelling blend seamlessly, with songs providing a mechanism for both self-expression and self-discovery. In addition, the charecters in the story are able to find harmony even amidst discord, and those harmonies are powerful and haunting,

SPECIAL TONY AWARD – The late Marin Mazzie for not only her beautiful, haunting, and breathtaking talent but her advocacy and leadership within the theatre community as a brave and dedicated voice for women’s health issues and organizations. The Award was accepted by Mazzie's husband Jason Danieley (who is also taking his final bow in the smash hit Pretty Woman: The Musical tomorrow afternoon).

Bravo and congratulations to all of this year's Tony honorees for your incredible work, talents, and dedication you left in the New York Theater community. You all truly GAVE YOUR REGARDS TO BROADWAY!!!

How beautiful is this?
