BROADWAY’S GOT THE BEAT! The acclaimed 80’s all female rock group The Go Go’s are bringing their music to the Great White Way in HEAD OVER HEELS for the 2018-2019 season.
The production will features an exciting creative team including acclaimed actress and singer Gweneth Paltrow serving on board as producer, a book by James Magruder along with Tony winner Jeff Whitty (Avenue Q) and direction by Tony winner Michael Mayer (Thoroughly Modern Millie, Spencer Liff (Falsettos on Broadway) will choreograph, American Idiot The Musical, original Spring Awakening Broadway, and HEDWIG on Broadway).
HEAD OVER HEELS is inspired by Sir Philip Sidney?s 16th-century pastoral romance ARCADIA. It’s described in the Elizabethan era romance turned on its head featuring a duke, a mysterious prophecy and two daughters: one mobbed by suitors, the other…unknown. It will feature the greatest hits of THE GO-GO’s including WE GOT THE BEAT, GER UP & GO, VACATION, OUR LOIPS ARE SEALED, and many more hits.
The show will have a world premiere out of town pre-Broadway tryout this Spring at the Curran Theatre in San Francisco, California. It will fun from April 24th, 2018 till May 20, 2018. It will then head to Broadway somewhere in the 2018-2019 season with no dates, cast list, or Theater announced.
