Powerhouse vocalist Alysha Umphress (Broadway’s American Idiot The Musical and last seen as “Hildy” in the revival of On The Town – The Musical Comedy Classic
Kyle Taylor Parker (recently in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and seen as “Lola” in Kinky Boots on Broadway and the original on the 1st National Tour),
Dwayne Cooper (Motown the Musical),
Emma Degerstedt (Off Broadway’s Desperate Measures),
John Edwards (Broadway and the National Touring companies of Jersey Boys),
Dionne Dadrinelle Figgins (Broadway’s Motown and Memphis The Musical),
Nicole Vanessa Ortiz (recently seen in the Off Broadway parody musical comedy Spamilton)
and Maximilian Sangerman (Off Broadway’s Blue Man Group).
As previously announced, this new production of SMOKEY JOE’S CAFE (featuring the best of Rock N’ Roll, Rhythm, and Blues songs written by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller) will have an out of town tryout at the Ogunquit Playhouse in Maine from May 16th, 2018 through June 9th, 2018. From there, the show (under the direction and staging by Joshua Bergasse) will make it’s way back to NYC… this time Off Broadway at Stage 42 on 42nd Street. It will begin previews on July 6th, 2018 and open on July 22nd, 2018.
