Tony Award winner LaChanze (recently in If/Then Musical and star of the original productions of The Color Purple Musical and Once On This Island Broadway) as “Diva Donna”,
Ariana DeBose (recently in A Bronx Tale The Musical, Hamilton: An American Musical, Pippin the Musical, and BRING IT ON THE MUSICAL) as “Disco Donna”,
and Storm Lever (Freaky Friday) as “Duckling Donna”.
Plus a full Ensemble!!!
The show tells the story of Donna Summer’s rise to fame through triumphs and tribulations all up till the very last concert till her death. Fans of the late singer can expect to hear all the songs that made her famous including HOT STUFF, SHE WORKS HARD FOR THE MONEY, BAD GIRLS, ON THE RADIO, THE LAST DANCE, and much more.
SUMMER: THE DONNA SUMMER MUSICAL will have it’s world premiere run at La Jolla Playhouse in La Jolla, California this Fall. It will run from November 7th – December 10th, 2017.
