Sara Bareilles is gearing for her Broadway Acting debut in the smash hit Waitress the Musical (which she has also did the score for) as the show’s new leading lady. Take a look at the Grammy nominated singer/songwriter trying on her wig for the first time.
Bareilles will begin performances as the new “Jenna” on March 31st, 2017 for a limited 10 week engagement at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.
The show’s original leading lady Tony winner Jessie Mueller is set to play her final performance this Sunday, March 26th, 2017.
From March 28th through the 30th, the lead role of “Jenna” will be played by Ensemble member Stephanie Torns (who is fantastic and people might know her as a former “Elphaba” extraordinaire).
Who is sad to see Jessie leave but excited for Stephanie and Sara?!
