THE END IS COMING!! Due to disappointing low tickets, SpongeBob Broadway is set to close on September 16th, 2018 at the Palace Theatre. Following its final performance, the show will have played 29 previews and 327 regular performances.

Following the end of its Broadway run, the musical adaptation of the beloved Nickelodeon series will embark on a US National Tour. In addition, the rights will be available to produce the show in schools and youth groups early next year.

Probably THE WORST DAY EVER to hear such sad news about Broadway’s most fun NAUTICAL NONSENSE show ending?

Thoughts?!!

‘SpongeBob’ Musical Will Close on Broadway and Plan for a Tour

The show was developed with high hopes by Nickelodeon, its lead producer, but when it closes in September it will have run for less than a year.
