Didn’t get to see the acclaimed revival of Sunday in the Park with George Broadway at the Hudson Theatre, no worries. A new cast recording of the 2nd Broadway revival is set to be released by Warner Music Group later this summer. The cast will head into the recording studio these next few weeks. The new album will feature new recordings of the most beloved Stephen Sondheim songs ever written for the stage.
In addition because this production of SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE was a limited engagement, the producers sadly dropped out from the running for this year’s Tony Awards.
The production, which also stars Annaleigh Ashford, will conclude its run April 23.
