BREAKING NEWS: Main principal casting has been announced for the highly anticipated musical adaptation of the 1988 film horror comedy classic Beetlejuice.
Tony Award nominee Alex Brightman (Broadway’s School of Rock the Musical, WICKED The Musical) will take on the iconic role of everyone’s favorite troublemaking bio-exorcist… the one you scream out his name 3 TIMES…. the title character himself… BEETLEJUICE, BEETLEJUICE, BEETLEJUICE (the role made famous on screen by Michael Keaton),
and
Sophia Anne Caruso (Broadway’s Blackbird, Off Broadway’s Lazurus, TV’s Smash and The Sound of Music Live) will take on the role of the young, coming of age, serious, and ultimate “Goth Girl” herself “Lydia Deetz” (the role made famous on screen by Wynona Rider).

Beetlejuice The Musical (featuring a book by Anthony King and Scott Brown, a score by Eddie Perfect, and direction by Tony nominee Alex Timbers) is set to begin its world premiere pre-Broadway tryout at the National Theatre Washington, D.C. Previews will begin on October 14th, 2018, Opening Night set for November 4th, 2018, and will run through November 18th, 2018.
No word has been announced on when the production will officially hit Broadway or what Theater it will play.
