Following an acclaimed run in London, UK producer Sonia Friedman and US producer Scott Rudin will present a new adaptation of George Orwell’s chilling novel 1984 for the stage. The play was written by Robert Icke and Duncan Macmillan and developed by a Theater company called Headlong.

1984 tells the story of a group of historians as they discover a diary of Winston Smith and must determine whether it is fictional or true.

The show will begin performances on June 22th, 2017. The official schedule, ticket information, and the full cast will announced soon.
