BREAKING NEWS: Acclaimed stage and screen star Ana Gasteyer (Broadway and original Chicago “Elphaba” in WICKED The Musical) has been tapped to reunite with her former Saturday Night Live co-star Maya Rudolph in FOX’s A Christmas Story Live this Holiday scene.
The former SNL and WICKED The Musical alumni will take on the role of “Mrs. Schwartz”, the mother of one of the best friends of the main character of “Ralphie” (originated by Kirsten Wyatt in the stage musical).
Along with Gasteyer and Rudolph (“Mrs. Parker), the cast will include newcomer Andy Walken (“Ralphie”), Chris Diamantopoulos (“Mr. Parker), and Tony winners Jane Krakowski (“Miss Shields”) and Matthew Broderick (“Narrator” / “Old Ralphie”).
A CHRISTMAS STORY LIVE is set to air on FOX on December 17th, 2017.
