BREAKING NEWS: It has been revealed that Waitress the Musical’s Tony and Grammy nominated composer Sara Bareilles is returning to the Broadway cast to once again to play the lead role of pregnant pie maker “Jenna” for a limited 6 week engagement this Winter at the Brooks Akitson Theatre from January 16th, 2018 through February 25th, 2018 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. As previously announced, the show’s current leading lady Betsy Wolfe will bake her final pie on January 9th, 2018.

In addition to Bareilles returning to the cast, she will share a BAD IDEA and onstage romance with the show’s current leading man and real life BFF Grammy winner Jason Mraz as “Dr. Pomatter” as he just extended his run now through January 28th, 2018. Both acclaimed singers performed the song BAD IDEA on Bareilles’ concept album to the show WHAT’S INSIDE: SONGS FROM WAITRESS.
