BREAKING NEWS: Due to doctor’s orders and for the remainder of his run, Tony winner Ben Platt will now play 6 performances a week in Dear Evan Hansen.

Ben is expecting to appear at all performances at the Music Box Theatre with the exception of Wednesday and Saturday matinees when the title role will be performed by standby Michael Lee Brown through November 11th, 2017.

However for the week of Platt’s final performance (starting November 14th, 2017), he will perform all 8 performances.

As previously announced, Ben Platt departs the Award winning Pasek and Paul on November 19th, 2017.

In addition, for a limited run from November 21st, 2017 through mid January 2017, The Real O’Neals star Noah Galvin will temporary assume the role of “Evan Hansen”.

From there till whenever, Taylor Tresnch (Broadway’s Matilda The Musical on Broadway, WICKED The Musical, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time Broadway, and currently starring in the Tony winning revival of Hello, Dolly on Broadway) will take on the role full time.

NYBT’s very own Michael saw Michael Lee Brown go on for the role of “Evan” a few weeks ago. He gives such a powerful and emotional performance and made the role his very own. Even if you miss Ben on Wednesdays or Saturday matinees, no worries because you are in great hands.
