COME WHAT MAY!! It has just been announced that Tony Award winner Karen Olivo (West Side Story on Broadway, In The Heights, Brooklyn The Musical, Rent, and recently seen in the Chicago company of Hamilton: An American Musical) and Broadway heartthrob Aaron Tviet (Catch Me If You Can, Next to Normal, WICKED The Musical) have all been tapped to star in the Broadway bound World Premiere of the musical adaptation of the Oscar winning film Moulin Rouge this summer as “Santine” and “Christian” (the Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor roles). Both talents took part in the recent workshop this past Fall.

In addition, the cast will also feature an exciting all star Broadway lineup including…

6 Time Tony nominee Danny Burstein (last seen in the recent revival of Fiddler on the Roof) as the owner of the Moulin Rouge himself “Harold Zilder” (the Jim Broadbent role),

Tony nominee Sahr Ngaujah (last seen on Broadway in Fela) as head performer “Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec” (the John Leguizamo role),

Acclaimed Broadway and West End star Tam Mutu (last seen in the short lived Dr Zhivago (musical)) as the rich, vain, and psychopathic “Duke of Monroth” (the Richard Roxburgh role),

Ricky Rojas (last seen on Broadway in Burn The Floor) as the sexiest tango dancer all of Paris himself, “Santiago” aka “The Narcoleptic Argentinean” (the Jacek Koman role),

and Robyn Hurder (Broadway’s Chicago The Musical) as the jealous “Nini Legs-in-the-Air” (the Caroline O’Connor role).

Moulin Rouge The Musical will have it’s world premiere pre-Broadway tryout reopening the newly refurbished and renovated Emerson Colonial Theatre. It will run from June 27th – August 5th, 2018. From there, it’s expecting to hit Broadway in 2019.
