BREAKING NEWS: We’re ready for some HOT STUFF as a world premiere new musical about the life of the legendary acclaimed Queen of Disco herself Donna Summer is set for a World Premiere production at La Jolla Playhouse in La Jolla, California this Fall. It will run from November 7th – December 10th, 2017.
The new musical entitled SUMMER: THE DONNA SUMMER MUSICAL tells the story of Donna Summer’s rise to fame through triumphs and tribulations all up till the very last concert till her death. Fans of the late singer can expect to hear all the songs that made her famous including HOT STUFF, SHE WORKS HARD FOR THE MONEY, BAD GIRLS, ON THE RADIO, THE LAST DANCE, and much more.
The show will reunite majority of the creative team of the 2006 Tony winning smash hit musical Jersey Boys. The show will feature direction by Des McAnuff, choreography by Sergio Trujillo, and a book by Colman Domingo, Robert Cary, and Des McAnuff.
