BRIGHT STAR played Broadway’s Cort Theatre this past 2015-2016 Broadway season for 30 previews and 106 regular performances. It was nominated for 5 Tony Awards including Best Musical but lost all of it’s categories. It closed due to disappointing ticket sales (even though the reviews were positive) and it’s 0 Tony wins. No plans for a National Tour have been announced yet.
