Additional casting has been announced for the upcoming Broadway revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Sunset Boulevard starring Glenn Close reprising her Tony-winning performance of Norma Desmond.
Close’s castmates from the English National Opera semi-staging (which the production is based on) will all be making their way across the pond and make their Broadway Debuts. Rejoining Ms. Close is acclaimed 2-time Olivier Award-nominee Michael Xavier will play Joe Gillis, Siobhan Dillon will play Betty Schaefer and Fred Johanson will play Max von Mayerling. Additional casting will be announced soon.
The Broadway revival of SUNSET BOULEVARD will be a limited 16 week engagement at Broadway’s Palace Theatre. Previews will begin February 2nd, 2017, open on February 9th, 2017, and run until May 28th, 2018.
