PBS‘ upcoming televised concert special celebrating the music of the Award winning blockbuster

Stage and screen favorite Stephanie Hsu,

This cast will take center stage to perform promising breathtaking new arrangements of some of your favorite songs from Stephen Schwartz’s legendary Tony nominated and Grammy winning score. You can expect to hear all the favorites from THE WIZARD AND I, POPULAR, I’M NOT THAT GIRL, FOR GOOD, AS LONG AS YOU’RE MINE, NO GOOD DEED, and of course the show’s anthem DEFYING GRAVITY. Performances will be coming to you from New York City, Los Angeles, and Washington D.C.
That’s not all….. this new TV concert will reunite and be hosted by …..WICKED’s original WITCHES OF OZ who started it all themselves…..

Ironically, Chenoweth and Menzel had previously hosted WICKED’s TV concert special A VERY WICKED HALLOWEEN on
NBC back in 2018 celebrating the show’s 15th Anniversary. Now they’re back for a 2nd WICKED concert special….. FOR GOOD.
OH WHAT A CELEBRATION it will be from now especially with WICKED making its way back to being performed around the world. Earlier this week, the show’s ongoing National Tour relaunched its run in Dallas, TX.
The Broadway production is set to reopen at the Gershwin Theatre beginning September 14th, 2021…. just in time before its 18th Anniversary. The day afterwards on the 15th, the show’s London company will reopen on the West End at the Apollo Victoria Theatre,.
WICKED IN CONCERT: A MUSICAL CELEBRATION OF THE ICONIC BROADWAY SCORE will officially air on August 29th, 2021 at 9pm EST. Check your local PBS station!!!

In addition because of the demands of the show, the role of “Tina Turner” will once again be alternated. Adrienne Warren will share the role of “Tina Turner” once again with Nkeki Obi-Melekwe.
TINA is set to go ROLLIN’ back into Broadway’s Lunt Fontanne Theatre beginning October 8th, 2021.

BREAKING NEWS: Actors’ Equity Association is angry and had enough of Andrew Cuomo. Following yesterday’s recent reports of the New York City Governor’s multiple occurrences of sexual harassment and retaliation behavior in the work place, the Union supporting Broadway and Live Theater actors released a statement calling for him to resign.
“There is no place for sexual harassment in the workplace – not in our theaters, and not in our government.”

GOOD NEWS!!!!! The Award winning smash hit
WICKED is back FOR GOOD!!! Last night, the show’s ongoing 2nd National Tour (better known as THE MUNCHKINLAND COMPANY) took its first bow in Dallas, TX after 17 months of being abruptly shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The packed audience at the
Music Hall at Fair Park featured many of the show’s super fans screaming, non-stop standing ovations, and so much more. WE COULDN’T BE HAPPIER to share this THRILLIFYING photo of the cast in action at that first curtain call back.
The show will continue DEFY GRAVITY in Dallas now through September 5th, 2021 before flying all over North America.
WICKED makes history as the first Broadway National Tour to reopen since Live Theater has been closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s also the 2nd company of the show to be performed since the shutdown…. The first was its ongoing company in Korea.
Along with the tour, the Broadway production is set to reopen at the Gershwin Theatre on September 14th, 2021. Meanwhile, the London company is set to reopen the next day on September 15th, 2021 at the Apollo Victoria Theatre.

SCREECH IN! It has just been announced that the highly anticipated filmed production of the groundbreaking Award winning smash hit
Come From Away is set to be released on
Apple TV+ starting September 10th, 2021. An official trailer and full casting announcement has also been revealed as well.
The trailer features the cast of the 9/11 musical reunited and bringing this powerful story back to life since being abruptly shutdown on March 12th, 2020…. the night of the show’s 3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY of its Broadway debut. This filmed performance also did have a LIMITED SEATING LIVE AUDIENCE as well. The audience was made up of the brave men and women that have been working on the frontlines along with real life survivors of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
