RAISE A GLASS TO FREEDOM! Casting has been announced for the return of the inaugural Broadway production of Lin-Manuel Miranda‘s Award winning hottest ticket of them all….. Hamilton. The lineup of performers being part of this history making COMEBACK cast will include an unbelievable diverse cast. Mix of ongoing cast members that were still doing the show at the time of the shutdown, newbies, and some notable alumni returning. Miguel Cervantes in the title role of THE 10 DOLLAR FOUNDING FATHER himself “Alexander Hamilton” (a role he previously originated and stayed for the show’s sit-down Chicago, Los Angeles, and National Tour companies),
Broadway favorite and THE BEAST herself Mandy Gonzalez (Broadway’s Aida, Dance of the Vampires, Lennon, In The Heights and WICKED) as “Angelica Schuyler” (known for being the 1st Broadway replacement and still doing it even while triumphantly battling Breast Cancer),
Jin Ha (Broadway’s M. Butterfly and NBC’s Jesus Christ Superstar Live) making history as the first Asian actor to play the role of the show’s narrator and Vilnian himself “AARON BURR, SIR” (a role he previously played in Chicago Los Angeles, and on the National Tour),
Krystal Joy Brown (Broadway’s Motown the Musical) as “Eliza Schuyler”,
Aubin Wise in the double duty in the roles of “Peggy Schuyler” (AND PEGGY) along with “Maria Reynolds”,
Tony winning showstopper James Monroe Iglehart (Broadway’s Aladdin, Memphis, and balancing double duty with Miranda’s hip hop improv troupe Freestyle Love Supreme) taking on the dual roles of “Marquis de Lafayette” and “Thomas Jefferson”,
Tony nominee Euan Morton (Broadway and West End’s Taboo) once again taking on royal duties as “King George III”,
Tamar Greene (The National Tour of Love Never Dies) as “General George Washington”,
Fergie L. Philippe in the dual roles of “Hercules Mulligan” and “James Madison” (a role he previously played on the 2nd National Tour),
Daniel Yearwood (Broadway’s Once On This Island and previously in Manhattan Concert Productions 50th Anniversary presentation of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat) taking on the dual roles of “John Laurens” and “Phillip Hamilton”,
and
a full Ensemble.
The New York company of HAMILTON will be making history once again as it re-opens at Broadway’s Richard Rodgers Theatre on September 14th, 2021 .The show is also making its way back to London’s West End starting August 19th, 2021. It’s also set to relaunch its ongoing North American Touring companies later this year. The show will also bring its Australian company to Melbourne beginning March 2022.
