BREAKING NEWS: We are getting close each day to the long awaited return of both Broadway and The Great Bright Way’s biggest night…… We are talking about The 74th Annual Tony Awards. Along with the best Musicals & Plays that were eligible for nominations prior before the COVID-19 pandemic, there are also additional SPECIAL TONY AWARDS given out for the amazing talents & people on their incredible outstanding achievements in the Theater. 2 fantastic productions that have brought Theater to the next level. These shows played critically acclaimed sold out limited engagements. In addition, they BOTH are returning this Fall for limited ENCORE runs on Broadway…… David Byrne’s American Utopia and Lin-Manuel Miranda‘s acclaimed improv hip-hop group Freestyle Love Supreme.

The 74th Annual Tony Awards is set for September 26th, 2021 on both CBS and Paramount+. However, this year’s ceremony is going to be done a little bit different as a 2 PART event. It goes like this…..
The celebration will kick off at 7pm EST with a 2 HOUR traditional presentation of the Awards (presented by The Broadway League and The American Theatre Wing) streamed only on Paramount+.
From there at 9pm EST, CBS will air a full 2 HOUR Live Concert entitled THE TONY AWARDS PRESENTS: BROADWAY’S BACK. It will include performances from this year’s 3 nominated shows for BEST MUSICAL (consisting of Jagged Little Pill, Moulin Rouge, and Tina), some of Broadway’s longest running hits, and more. From there, it will announce Tony winning shows nominated for BEST REVIVAL OF A PLAY, BEST PLAY, and of course BEST MUSICAL.
What a celebration it’s going to be as we welcome Broadway BACK WHERE IT BELONGS!!!
