Get ready for the ultimate Broadway spectacular!! The company of the upcoming musical revue PRINCE OF BROADWAY (honoring the genius work of 21 time Tony winning director / producer Harold Prince) has officially started rehearsals.
Take a look of the company in action and some first looks of the sets and costume designs for this productions. From what we can tell, you will experiencing some of your favorite musicals that Hal has directed or produced recreated all on stage in one show. You can expect to hear music from iconic shows including West Side Story, Cabaret the Musical, Sweeney Todd NYC, The Phantom of the Opera, and much more.
The cast is headlined by a full all star Broadway lineup including Tony winner Chuck Cooper (Broadway’s The Life and recently in Amazing Grace Musical), Janet Dacal (Broadway’s In The Heights, Wonderland the Musical), Bryonha Marie Parham (The Book of Mormon on Broadway, After Midnight on Broadway), Tony nominee Emily Skinner (original Side Show on Broadway), Tony nominee Brandon Uranowitz (An American In Paris on Broadway and recently in Falsettos on Broadway), Kaley Ann Voorhees (Broadway’s youngest “Christine Daae” in The Phantom of the Opera), Michael Xavier (recently wrapped up the acclaimed Broadway revival of Sunset Boulevard), Tony nominee Tony Yazbeck (On The Town – The Musical Comedy Classic, Finding Neverland – The New Musical), and Tony winner Karen Ziemba (Contact).
The production features an exciting creative team including Hal Prince himself directing, Tony winner Susan Stroman choreographing, and numerous of your favorite Broadway songs plus original new songs by Tony winner Jason Robert Brown.
PRINCE OF BROADWAY is set to play Broadway’s Samuel J. Freidman Theatre (at Manhattan Theatre Club). Previews begin August 3rd, 2017 and Opening Night set for August 24th, 2017.
