BREAKING NEWS: The upcoming new Go Go’s jukebox musical HEAD OVER HEELS has officially announced it’s pre-Broadway and Broadway houses, performance dates, and it’s cast.
The new musical (which is a retelling of Sir Philip Sidney?s play Arcadia) will have it’s Pre-Broadway tryout in San Francisco this Spring at the Curran Theatre from April 10th, 2018 – May 6th, 2018.
From there, the show will make it’s way to the Big Apple playing an open-ended run at the Hudson Theatre as the first new musical of the 2018-2019 Broadway season. Broadway previews will begin June 23rd, 2018 and Opening Night set for July 26th, 2018.
The company is an exciting lineup of familiar faces from the Great White Way under the direction of Tony winner Michael Mayer (HEDWIG on Broadway, the original Spring Awakening Broadway, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and more) and choreographer by Spencer Liff (Falsettos on Broadway). The cast will include….
Rachel York (Broadway’s Victor/Victoria and last seen in Disaster – On Broadway),
Jeremy Kushnier (Broadway’s Footloose, Rent, and last seen in Cirque du Soleil Paramour),
Taylor Iman Jones (last seen in Groundhog Day Musical),
newcomer Bonnie Milligan (National Tour of Kinky Boots),
RuPaul’s Drag Race’s Miss Peppermint who will make Broadway history as the first trans-woman actress to create a principal role on the Great White Way.
Tom Alan Robbins (Broadway’s original “Pumbaa” from The Lion King – Musical)
Alexandra Socha (Broadway’s original Spring Awakening, recently in Manhattan Theatre Club’s Actually and TV’s Red Oaks),
Andrew Durand (Broadway’s original Spring Awakening and last seen in Broadway’s War Horse),
and a full Ensemble.
