BREAKING NEWS: The long awaited Prince of Broadway – A New Musical (which celebrated the 60 years of accomplishments and work of the legendary 21 time Tony Award winning director and producer Harold Prince) is finally coming to Broadway!
The show will be one of the first shows of the 2017-2018 Broadway season playing Manhattan Theatre Club’s Samuel J. Friedman Theatre as a limited engagement. Previews will begin August 3rd, 2017 and will officially open on August 24th, 2017.
PRINCE OF BROADWAY was initially supposed to hit Broadway in 2012 featuring Sierra Boggess Official, Richard Kind, Linda Lavin, Tony winner LaChanze, and more. However it was postponed due to financial troubles, changes of the producers, and rewrites. It had it’s official world premiere last year (2015) in Japan featuring Tony nominees Ramin Karimloo, Tony Yazbeck, Emily Skinner, Tony winner Shuler Hensley, Phantom favorite Kaley Ann Voorhees, Josh Grisetti, and more.
No word if any of the cast members from the initial 2012 engagement or 2015 official world premiere will be continuing.
