Next Friday, October 27th, 2017 on Live from Lincoln Center will be the highly anticipated airing of this past season’s 5 time Tony nominated Lincoln Center Theater revival of James Lapine and William Finn’s cult classic musical Falsettos on Broadway.
Filmed in front of a sold out audience at Broadway’s Walter Kerr Theatre earlier this year, FALSETTOS is considered as the original MODERN FAMILY of American Musical Theatre. It tells the romantic, hilarious, dark, and dramatic story of a dysfunctional Jewish family where the husband divorces his wife to be with his gay boyfriend and friends, their son is about to have his Bar Mitzvah, and the family therapist that changes his wife’s life.
This production features a powerful All-Star Broadway cast that features 2 time Tony Award winner Christian Borle as “Marvin”, 2 time Tony nominees Andrew Rannells as “Whizzer”, Stephanie J. Block as “Trina”, and Brandon Uranowitz as “Mendel” along with Betsy Wolfe as “Cordelia”, Tracie Thoms as “Dr. Charlotte”, and introducing Anthony Rosenthal as “Jason”.
In addition, New York Broadway Tours very own Michael was there for the live filming of this production. Powerful performances.
