It transferred a year later to the Booth Theatre where it ran for 639 performances. The original production was nominated for 10 Tony Awards in 1984 including Best Musical and won only 2 for it’s set and lighting designs. In addition, the original production was filmed for PBS in 1985 and is still available on DVD. It later went on to tour, play London’s West End, and around the world.

The most recent revival of SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE happened in 2008 (following an acclaimed 2005 West End revival engagement). The revival which starred it’s 2005 West End revival leads Daniel Evans and Jenna Russell played Roundabout Theatre Company’s Studio 54 for a total of 181 performances.
