For many aspiring performers, it’s a dream to be part of an original Broadway cast recording. This past Monday, hundreds of fans of the smash hit musical Natasha, Pierre, and The Great Comet of 1812 gathered at the New York Society for Ethical Culture for a once in a lifetime opportunity to lend their voices to the upcoming all new Original Broadway Cast recording of the show.

The show’s creator (and original star from the initial Off Broadway run) dave malloy, it’s current Broadway leading man pop sensation Josh Groban, along with Ensemble members Alex Gibson and Katrina Yaukey led the hundreds of fans in singing some of the chorus sections in a few of the big Ensemble numbers including THE DUEL and GOODBYE MY GYPSY LOVERS. Plus, the hundreds of fans were given egg shakers to accompany the Act 2 showstopper BALAGA.

Our very own Michael was one of the lucky hundreds of fans to have lent his voice on a Broadway cast album.

This is not the first recording of THE GREAT COMET. It’s original Off Broadway run in the Kazino pop-up Theatre had a cast recording which featured it’s original lead Phillipa Soo. For the updated Broadway cast album, it will feature Josh Groban and Den?e Benton along with a lot of the updated songs that were added into the Broadway production.

Who is excited?! How about that incredible opportunity.
