Glee and Broadway favorite Lea Michele is still eyeing interest of starring as “Fanny Brice” in the first major Broadway revival of Funny Girl despite Glee creator Ryan Murphy no longer having the rights.

Michele is no stranger to FUNNY GIRL after singing majority of the songs from the show on GLEE and of course her GLEE character “Rachel Berry” made her Broadway debut in the fictional Broadway revival on the show

Even though she’s been busy with her 3rd major TV show The Mayor, Lea is eyeing a long awaited return to Broadway. She was last seen on there 10 years ago with her breakout performance as “Wendla” in the original production of Spring Awakening Broadway.

If you want to learn more about Lea’s legacy on Broadway even before GLEE, join us on our GLEEKS ON BROADWAY Walking Tour. We will visit some of the real locations that was filmed on the show as well as some of the Broadway houses where your favorite GLEE stars got their start on the Great White Way.
