BREAKING NEWS: You’re invited to the party of a lifetime! Following it’s acclaimed World Premiere tryout last year in Atlanta, the new original musical THE PROM will officially arrive on Broadway next Fall 2018. As of now it’s slated to play a to-be-determined Shubert Organization Theatre. Previews starting at a date to-be-announced and Opening Night is slated for November 15th, 2018.

THE PROM is set in a small town in Indiana, where a High School prom has been cancelled due to a High School forbidding a lesbian High School student from bringing her girlfriend as a date. However a miracle happens when group of Broadway actors hear her story as they travel to the community to help the young lady out.

The show features an exciting creative team led by Tony Award winning comedic director and choreographer Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon on Broadway and the upcoming Mean Girls on Broadway), music by Bob Martin, lyrics and a book by Tony nominee Chad Beguelin (Aladdin – The Musical, Elf The Musical, The Wedding Singer), Sets by Tony winner Scott Pask, costumes by Tony winner Ann Roth and Matthew Pachtman, lighting design by Tony winner Kenneth Posner, sound design by Tony nominee Peter Hylenski, and orchestrations by Tony winner Larry Hochman, and Casting is by Telsey & Company Casting.

No additional word on who will be continuing with the show when it comes to Broadway. Who is excited?!
