BREAKING NEWS: Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera is about to make history again. This Monday night, the longest running show in Broadway history will play it’s 12,000th performance at the Majestic Theatre. This milestone has never ever been reached by any other Broadway show before.

In addition, there are some exciting cast changes going on. Some of your favorite PHANTOM alumni are set to return to the Majestic Theatre …

Starting December 12th, 2016, Linda Balgord will return to the role of the mysterious ballet mistress Madame Giry. Rebecca Eichenberger (who currently plays the role) will play her final performance on December 10th, 2016.

Starting the week of January 23rd, Kaley Ann Voorhees will return to performing twice a week as the Alternate for the show’s female lead Christine Daae. Current alternate Rachel Eskenazi-Gold will be taking a hiatus from the production playing her final show on January 21st, 2017 and will return the week of July 3rd, 2017. Vorhees made history with the show as the youngest actress ever to play the role of Christine Daae in the Broadway production.

The show will continue to star James Barbour (in the title role), Ali Ewoldt (who made history as the first Asian American actress to play the lead role of Christine Daae), Jordan Donica (who made history as the first African American actor to play Raoul), Laird Mackintosh (as Monsieur Andr?), Craig Bennett(as Monsieur Firmin), Michele McConnell (who made history as the longest running actress so far to play Carlotta), John Easterlin (as Piangi) and Kara Klein Salerno(as Meg Giry).
