As previously posted, the union IATSE (the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees) has put a huge change of rules and safety guidelines for when Live Theater officially returns. One of the most bittersweet and sad changes is that there will sadly not be the popular post-show STAGE DOOR. However, no word has been said if all of this is TEMPORARY or FOREVER.

Many of us are still coping with the COVID-19 pandemic precautions including social distancing. All of this is for safety to make sure no one in the cast, crew, the theater in general, or your fellow audience members gets sick and get the coronavirus themselves.

REMINDER: Since there is no stage door for the time being when Live Theater comes back, please NO RANTING or writing mean tweets and comments to your favorite performers. They are doing this for their safety and their health!!!

In case anyone may not know, Stage Door is a post-show activity where Theatergoers can meet cast members from the show you just saw. It's a fun mingling and interactive activity where the cast would sign your playbills, pose for photos with you, interact with you, and you would sometimes get a warm hug from your idol.

Talks are even being made by Broadway fans via message boards to figure out how many of your favorite shows can still have moments to interact and mingle with their fans in the meantime. Many of them have spoken out including….

Extensions for the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS Red Bucket Fundraising (which most of the shows usually would sell pre-signed playbills, posters, and goodies from the cast),

a special table of limited signed Playbills, Posters, and Goodies, from the cast,

and more.

Currently during this continued time of the COVID-19 pandemic, many of your favorite Broadway performers are giving back to their fans with virtual interactive quality time including….

Q&A opportunities,

Instagram Live chats,

Cameo Video Greetings,

and

Master Classes (for all you fellow aspiring performers out there who would love to sing and learn from your idols plus get some uplifting advice on how you can be on Broadway yourself).
