Before a performance, we always hear a mysterious voice reminding everyone to silence all electronic devices. Lately, Broadway has been starting to become super creative with their preshow announcements. One of those ones is Waitress the Musical’s composer (and most recent leading lady) Sara Bareilles who rewrote the lyrics to her original song CASSIOPEIA (from her 2013 album The Blessed Unrest) all about turning off your cell phones.

For those who are seeing WAITRESS whether on Broadway at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre or the National Tour in a city near you, Sara’s TURN OFF YOUR CELL PHONE song is the first thing you hear before the “Pie” curtain officially goes up.
