THERE WILL BE NO SUN across America. The National Tour of the Tony nominated and Olivier Award winning smash hit Groundhog Day Musical has sadly been cancelled according to a tweet from composer Tim Minchin.
Following it’s Broadway closing at the August Wilson Theatre consisting of 32 previews and 176 performances, GROUNDHOG DAY was expecting to embark on an 18 month National Tour across North America as well as a return engagement to London’s West End.

It seems the small town will be staying put as Groundhog Day composer, Tim Minchin, reported via Twitter this evening that the Tony-nominated Best Musical. would not be embarking on a previously discussed national tour.
