BREAKING NEWS: Celebrated Tony nominated director and choreographer Graciela Daniele will finally receive her first Tony….. However, it will be a special one. The Argentinian dancer and creator has been tapped as the recipient for the LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD at this year ceremony for her unforgettable legacy.
Daniele was previously nominated 10 TIMES for her unforgettable works as BOTH a director, choreographer, and even writer on Broadway shows. She was nominated for her works on….
The 1981 revival of The Pirates of Penzance,
The Rink,
The 1986 revival of The Mystery of Edwin Drood,
Dangerous Games,
2 for the original 1991 production of Once On This Island,
3 for Chronicle of a Death Foretold,

The original 1998 production of RAGTIME.

The 74th Annual Tony Awards is set for September 26th, 2021 on both CBS and Paramount+. However, this year’s ceremony is going to be done a little bit different as a 2 PART event. It goes like this…..
The celebration will kick off at 7pm EST with a 2 HOUR traditional presentation of the Awards (presented by The Broadway League and American Theatre Wing) streamed only on Paramount+.
From there at 9pm EST, CBS will air a full 2 HOUR Live Concert entitled THE TONY AWARDS PRESENTS: BROADWAY’S BACK. It will include performances from this year’s 3 nominated shows for BEST MUSICAL (consisting of Jagged Little Pill, Moulin Rouge, and Tina), some of Broadway’s longest running hits, and more. From there, it will announce Tony winning shows nominated for BEST REVIVAL OF A PLAY, BEST PLAY, and of course BEST MUSICAL.

Head Over Heels Choreographer Spencer Liff Teaches His Dance to ?We Got the Beat?


After seeing an amazing Broadway Musical, have you ever wanted to learn some of the actual choreography from the show? This weekend everyone is planning GET UP AND GO over to the Hudson Theatre as The Go-Go's smash hit rock musical comedy Head Over Heels – The New Musical wraps up its Broadway run.

For a little piece of wanting to learn actual steps from HEAD OVER HEELS, check out the show's choreographer Emmy nominee Spencer Liff (So You Think You Can Dance along with Deaf West Theatre's Spring Awakening Broadway and Falsettos on Broadway) teaching us a part of the show's Curtain Call Finale (the reprise of the show's anthem WE GOT THE BEAT). If you practice and master it really well, share it with us, Spencer, and members of the cast of HEAD OVER HEELS.

HEAD OVER HEELS closes at Broadway's Hudson Theatre tomorrow after 37 previews and 188 regular performances.

Director and Choreographer Dame Gillian Lynne Passes Away at 92

BREAKING NEWS: The Theater world just lost a legendary director and choreographer who made a huge mark on Broadway, London’s West End, and around the world….

The legendary Dame Gillian Lynne passed away at the age of 92. She was well known for her work in the worlds of Theater, Film, TV, and Opera. Most famously she is known for creating the original choreography to Andrew Lloyd Webber’s long running hits Cats the Musical and the still going strong smash hit The Phantom of the Opera. Her legacy still lives one.

Moulin Rouge! Musical Enlists Choreographer Sonya Tayeh and All-Star Creative Team


COME WHAT MAY! As previously announced, the beloved Award winning musical film Moulin Rouge is coming to the stage. This month, a lab presentation of the musical is set and is expecting to feature an exciting creative team….

Tony nominee Alex Timbers (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson on Broadway, Peter and the Starcatcher, ROCKY Broadway) will direct along with Emmy nominee Sonya Tayeh (So You Think You Can Dance) will choreograph and Tony winner John Logan will do the book.

In addition, the production will also feature an exciting all-star creative team entirely of Tony winners and nominees including…

Tony winner Derek McLane will design the sets,

Tony winner Catherine Zuber will design the costumes,

Tony nominee Justin Townsend will design the lighting,

Tony nominee Peter Hylenski will design the sound,

and Drama Desk-winner David Brian Brown will design all the wigs.

The Lab of MOULIN ROUGE is scheduled to be working from October 30th?December 15th, 2017. No word has been made for when will an actual production go up.
