HAMILTON Tour cancelled performance in Atlanta this week due to cast members testing positive for COVID-19

Earlier this past week, the ANGELICA 1ST NATIONAL TOUR of Lin Manuel Miranda’s Award winning phenomenon Hamilton was cancelled in Atlanta this weekend due to a recent report of several cast members testing positive for COVID-19. According to news reports, everyone who worked at THE ROOM WHERE IT HAPPENS was doing their usual COVID-19 safety protocol testings in time before the evening’s performance on September 15th, 2021 at the Fabulous Fox Theatre. With several members of the cast testing positive, the reports for COVID-19 testing and PCR results were delayed causing that evening’s performance to be cancelled. Several company members indeed tested positive for COVID, and PCR results for the rest of the company were delayed, causing the cancelation. The show resumed performances the next day.

No word has been said on which cast members tested positive (even though they were vaccinated).

Send our love and prayers.

All ticketholders attending the Tony this year were given a message from both The Broadway League and American Theatre Wing. Both these organizations that present the annual event celebrating the best of the Broadway season were told that the city of New York did NOT grant them a permit to host the party that is held immediately after the ceremony where all nominees, winners, and the community comes together to celebrate. It will only be the full 4 hour extravaganza.

The first 2 hours beginning at 7pm on Paramount+ will be the actual ceremony presenting all the major Awards hosted by 6 time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald. BREAKING NEWS: Earlier last week, 2 time Tony Award nominee Laura Osnes has received backlash for refusing to get her COVID-19 vaccine causing her to be “terminated” from an upcoming concert production of Crazy For You in The Hamptons. Last night, the Grease, Bonnie & Clyde, Cinderella, and Bandstand star took to clear up what really happened.
She was NOT fired from the production. Osnes (who was not yet vaccinated) actually QUIT the production. Disappointed herself for not doing it, Osnes said the decision was “drama-free and discrete”. She also explained that NONE of her castmates including Tony Yazbeck pressed her.
The other situation was that Osnes did NOT even get the option of taking an ongoing COVID-19 test instead of getting of vaccinated. Ways to continue to protect herself.
Her apology and response as well has been getting some backlash too.
