BREAKING NEWS: Laurence O'Connor's critically acclaimed NEW 25th Anniversary production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's of the legendary longest running smash hit The Phantom of the Opera will surrender to THE MUSIC OF THE NIGHT one last time. The touring production (which was created for the musical's 25th Anniversary) is scheduled wrap up in February 2020 in Toronto, Canada at the Princess of Wales Theatre. Following that final curtain call, this tour will have run for 6 years, played 85 cities all across North America, and the chandelier will have made its iconic fall 2,450 times over the heads of more than 4.5 million people. The tour is currently in Cleveland and will soon make stops in Schectady, Honolullu, Los Angeles, Chicago, Baltimore, Denver, Toronto, and more.

Even though this production is considered a NEW staged version, you can still witness Hal Prince's legendary original staging that continues to haunt audiences on Broadway (at the Majestic Theatre), in London's West End (at Her Majesty's Theatre), and its current World Tour company which was launched for the musical's 30th Anniversary.

In addition, it has also been announced that Broadway veteran Derrick Davis (Broadway's The Lion King – Musical and the recent revival of Carousel on Broadway) will return to the touring company to haunt audiences 8 times a week as the titular role of man behind the mask himself. His first performance back is scheduled for June 6th, 2019 during the final engagement in Los Angeles, California at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre. For Davis, he made history as only the 3rd African American Actor to play the title role in a full scale worldwide professional production of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA.

Bravo to the 25th Anniversary NEW production for an amazing run.
