WICKED relaunches its ongoing National Tour starting TONIGHT in Dallas, Texas!!! It will play at the Music Hall at Fair Park there through September 5th, 2021 before once again DEFYING GRAVITY all over North America. It’s expecting to hit the following cities…..

WICKED makes history as the first Broadway National Tour to reopen since Live Theater has been closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s also the 2nd company of the show to be performed since the shutdown…. The first was its ongoing company in Korea.
Along with the tour, the Broadway production is set to reopen at the Gershwin Theatre on September 14th, 2021. Meanwhile, the London company is set to reopen the next day on September 15th, 2021 at the Apollo Victoria Theatre.

THRILLIFYING NEWS: Get ready to once again REJOICIFY & have THE CHANCE TO FLY at
WICKED is set to once again DEFY GRAVITY here in America next week. The show’s ongoing 2nd National Tour (better known as THE MUNCHKINLAND TOUR COMPANY) will be the 1st Broadway tour to be performed in 17 months since being abruptly shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition, official casting details of who is expecting to rejoin the tour has been announced. Expecting to continue with the production since being shutdown will include…..
Longtime touring cast member
Allison Bailey as the blonde, bubbly, and POPULAR Good Witch of the North herself “Glinda”,
Sharon Sachs as the mischievous “Madame Morrible”,
Longtime WICKED veteran
Curt Hansen as the dashing Winkie Prince turned love interest “Fiyero”,
Amanda Fallon Smith as the spoiled, wheelchaired, and Wicked Witch of the East herself “Nessarose”,
DJ Plunkett as that lovable mere-munchkin with a heart of gold “Boq”,
In addition, celebrated performer and songwriter
Clifton Davis (Broadway’s Two Gentlemen of Verona,
Aladdin, and
Disaster) will join the 2nd National Touring company as everyone’s favorite goat teacher at Shiz himself “Dr. Dillamond”. He previously played on the 1st National Tour (a.k.a. THE EMERALD CITY TOUR COMPANY) from 2012-2013.
WICKED’s National Tour is scheduled to relaunch beginning August 3rd, 2021 for a month long run deep in the heart of Dallas, TX. From there, it will be traveling to the following cities across North America that have been rescheduled throughout 2022 including….

With the National Tour of WICKED reopening, it also marks as the 2nd original production replica returning. Currently,
Wicked is being performed overseas with its Korea company (with the show performed in Korean).

Shot in Los Angeles, Washington DC, and NYC, you can expect WONDERFUL new rendition of THE WIZARD AND I, POPULAR, NO GOOD DEED, AS LONG AS YOU’RE MINE, FOR GOOD, and of course the musical’s signature anthem DEFYING GRAVITY.
This is part of an exciting celebration as the long running BEWTICHING smash hit returns this Fall and just in time for its 18th Anniversary this October. The Broadway production will reopen at the Gershwin Theatre on September 14th, 2021. The ongoing National Tour relaunches on August 3rd, 2021 before continuing to travel across North America, and the West End company reopens at London’s Apollo Victoria Theatre on September 15th, 2021.
This is only the 2nd major televised concert celebrating the music of WICKED. The previous concert A VERY WICKED HALLOWEEN happened in 2018 commemorating the show’s 15th Anniversary and aired on
NBC.
