WE DANCE and share some really exciting news. Newcomer Anna Uzele (a graduate this year of the TXST Musical Theatre program) is set to join the company of the Tony nominated revival of Once On This Island Broadway. She is set to succeed original cast member Alysha Deslorieux in the role of the promised wife “Andrea “. She will also understudy Tony nominee Hailey Kilgore in the role of “Ti Moune”. No word has been said when is the start of Anna’s first performance or Alysha’s last day.
Congrats on launching your Broadway Debut Anna!!

ONE DAY MORE!! Tomorrow, Broadway fans will be waking up early for the most exciting news we all look forward to each year. The nominees for this year’s Tony Awards!!!
The revealing of the nominations will be coming from the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at 8:30am EST. They will be presented by former Smash stars Katherine McPhee (currently in Waitress the Musical) and Tony winner Leslie Odom Jr. (Hamilton: An American Musical). you can watch the revealing of the nominations on the Tony Awards social media page and website.
From there, be ready for exciting surprises and performances on June 10th, 2018 as we all tune in to the Tony Awards. Hosted by Tony and Grammy nominated superstars Josh Groban and Sara Bareilles, the Tonys will be coming to you live from Radio City Music Hall and will be seen on CBS.
In addition, we at New York Broadway Tours will be presenting out TOP 40 TONY AWARDS COUNTDOWN starting tomorrow morning (on the 40 day mark). Get ready to be woken up with some of the best performances from the previous telecasts as well as learn some of the history of these musicals.

Today is an exciting day of the Theater world. It is Kids’ Night on Broadway 2018. For those who may not know, this once a year event let’s children see a Broadway show for free if their parent (or guardian) buys a ticket. Not only they get to see the show of their choice, there are tons of exciting Broadway activities and tons of surprises.
This year’s event will also feature 3 ambassadors (who are all currently starring in Family/Friendly musicals). They are Christy Altomare of Anastasia The Musical, Ethan Slater of SpongeBob Broadway, and Tony winning legend Lea Salonga currently in Once On This Island Broadway.
For many kids, seeing Live Theater for the first time can change their lives whether becoming a fan or deciding one day when they grow up they want to be part of the Broadway scene (cast, crew, musician, creative member, etc).

This week is really exciting when Grammy Award winner Jason Mraz makes his Broadway Debut as he joins the cast of the delicious smash hit Waitress the Musical at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.
Starting November 3rd, 2017 for a limited 10 week run, Mraz will replace original leading man Drew Gehling in the role of the sexiest doctor in town himself “Dr. Pomatter”.
Yesterday, Mraz met up with the press and gave fans a special speak peak mini concert of him (along with the show’s current leading lady Betsy Wolfe) performing some of the show’s beloved songs written by it’s Tony and Grammy nominated composer Sara Bareilles.
