One moment in the book talks about Idina and Cara’s experience of seeing their first Broadway show together…. Sandy Duncan as Peter Pan and how it changed their lives.

For something fun, Cara joined her older sister in the recording studio to record their first ever professional studio duet together. A rendition of the PETER PAN classic NEVER NEVER LAND.

Broadway’s Got You Babe: Cher Bio-Musical to Land on Broadway in 2018


CAUSE I’M STRONG ENOUGH! The legendary Cher is telling her story for the first time on Broadway. It has been officially announced that the untitled Cher musical is set to hit Broadway in 2018.

The Cher Bio-Musical will feature direction by Jason Moore (Avenue Q), a book by Rick Elice (Peter and the Starcatcher), and all of Cher’s greatest hits (including THE BEAT GOES ON, I GOT YOU BABE, GYPSIES, TRAMPS, & THIEVES, IF I CAN TURN BACK TIME, and BELIEVE). The show is also expecting to feature 3 different actresses playing the different stages of the Grammy and Oscar winning Entertainer’s life.

Soak It Up! Spongebob Squarepants Musical Will Officially Land on Broadway


BREAKING NEWS: Everyone’s favorite resident from Bikini Bottom that LIVES IN A PINEAPPLE UNDER THE SEA is finally arriving on Broadway. Following an acclaimed sold out run in Chicago last year, the SpongeBob SquarePants musical is set to arrive on Broadway this Fall at the Palace Theatre (current home of Sunset Boulevard till June 25th, 2017). Previews will begin November 6th, 2017 and will open on December 4th, 2017.

SpongeBob Broadway (based on the acclaimed Nickelodeon cartoon) will follow SpongeBob Squarepants and all his friends from Bikini Bottom on a NAUTICAL NONSENSE adventure to rescue Bikini Bottom from chaos. It will feature direction by Tina Landau, a book by Kyle Jarrow, and a score by numerous recording artists / singer songwriters including Sara Bareilles, Cyndi Lauper, John Legend, and more. In addition, the creative team features orchestrations by Tony and Pulizer Prize winner Tom Kitt, Choreography by Christopher Gattelli (Newsies), and much more.

In addition, majority of the Principal cast from Chicago are all set to reprise their roles for Broadway including newcomer Ethan Slater as the title character Tony Award nominee Gavin Lee (Broadway’s Les Mis?rables US, Mary Poppins – The Musical) as “Squidward Tentacles”, Lilli Cooper (Broadway’s WICKED The Musical and original Spring Awakening Broadway) as “Sandy Cheeks”, and newcomer Danny Skinner as “Patrick Star”.

Lionsgate Sees Possible Live Stage Show for ‘La La Land’ Musical


Lionsgate is eyeing possible plans to bring the hottest musical film out right now La La Land (which won 7 Golden Globes last week including Best Picture) as a stage musical. If it works on stage, the plans is to possibly tour with the show. Could it work on the stage and possibly hit Broadway as well?
