ON THE MARQUEE: Earlier last week, Broadway veteran Lisa Brescia joined the Broadway company of the Tony and Grammy winning smash hit Dear Evan Hansen in the role of struggling nurse and single mother “Heidi Hansen” from the show’s original cast member Rachel Bay Jones (who won a Tony for the role). BREAKING NEWS: Broadway veteran Lisa Brescia has been tapped to join the Broadway company of the Tony and Grammy winning smash hit Dear Evan Hansen next month.
Beginning August 7th, 2018 at the Music Box Theatre, the former Aida, WICKED The Musical, and Mamma Mia! star will replace the show’s original Tony winning cast member Rachel Bay Jones in the role of “Heidi Hansen” (the loving, caring, and struggling mother to the title character). Brescia previously filled in as a temporary standby and covered the role of “Heidi” during Jones’ vacation time off from the show.
Jones (who won a Tony for Best Featured Actress in a Musical) as previously announced will take her final bow on August 5th, 2018.
