Kristolyn Lloyd?s final Dear Evan Hansen curtain call

Dear Theater World,

Today was a bittersweet, difficult, and emotional day as Kristolyn Lloyd took her final bow in the Award winning smash hit Dear Evan Hansen. The actress who plays the intelligent, precocious and insufferable “Alana Beck” has been with the Pasek and Paul musical since it’s’ Off Broadway run at Second Stage Theater back in 2016 and brought it to Broadway last year 2017. Nothing has been said on what is next for Kristolyn but whatever it is, we know she’s going to go and do many more successful things in Theater, Film, and TV.

Beginning this Tuesday night, March 13th, 2018 at the Music Box Theatre, Phoenix Best (the Tony winning revival of The Color Purple Musical and last seen as “Eponine” on the current National Tour of Les Mis?rables US) will take over the role of “Alana Beck”.

In addition with Kristolyn ending her run, it marks 2 of the original cast of Dear Evan Hansen gone. As you may know, Ben Platt (who won the Tony for playing the title role in the show) left this past November. However, the show is still selling out and in the great hands of Noah Galvin (who departed a few weeks ago) and now Taylor Trensch. The remaining original cast members Tony Award winner Rachel Bay Jones (“Heidi Hansen”), Glee favorite Laura Dreyfuss (“Zoe Murphy”), Michael Parks (“Larry Murphy”), Will Roland (“Jared Kleinman”), and Tony nominees Mike Faist (“Connor Murphy”) and Jennifer Laura Thompson (“Cynthia Murphy”) are all set to take their final bows in May.

Happy Trails and Congrats on a triumphant Broadway Debut Kristolyn!!

Welcome and Break a leg Pheonix!!!
