BREAKING NEWS: The Book of Mormon on Broadway’s longest running star Nic Rouleau will

BREAKING NEWS: The Book of Mormon on Broadway’s longest running star Nic Rouleau will hang up his clean white button-down shirt and black tie and end his incredible 6 1/2 year journey of ringing doorbells, selling religious books, and helping Ugandans join the church in the Award winning Jeff Marx and Bobby Lopez comedy. He is set to take his final bow on February 18th, 2018 at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre.

No word has been announced on who will take over from Rouleau in the leading role of the overconfidence “Elder Price”.

Rouleau has been with THE BOOK OF MORMON since 2 months after the show won it’s 9 Tony Awards including Best Musical). He made his Broadway Debut and joined the show in 2011 serving as the standby to original star Tony nominee Andrew Rannells. A year later (2012) when Rannells departed the show, Rouleau began taking over the role of “Elder Price” fulltime for 6 months before jumping straight into the original cast of the musical’s first ever sit-down production in Chicago for an entire year.

After the Chicago production closed (2013), Rouleau and most of the company from Chicago went on to be part of the musical’s 2nd (and current) National Touring company (better known as the Jumamosi Tour). Rouleau played a few cities on and off before rejoining the New York (Broadway) company fulltime (2014) for an entire year.

After a year long stint the second time on Broadway, Rouleau made his way across the pond and joined The Book of Mormon – London company (2015) where he made his West End debut. He stayed with the London production for another whole year before making his way back to the New York (Broadway) company (2016) for a 3rd and final stint as “Elder Price”. For this last stint, he stayed with the Broadway company for the last 2 years.

Congrats Nic on amazing 6 1/2 year stint with THE BOOK OF MORMON. I BELIEVE there is more exciting things coming for you real soon on Broadway. Happy Trails!!

Who will miss Nic?
