Steven Speilberg, there was so much challenges that went into bringing what was iconically done as a 1961 Oscar winning movie for this generation. Now this month prior before the film’s release, a brand new coffee table behind the scenes book is set to hit the shelves.
The book entitled WEST SIDE STORY: THE MAKING OF THE STEVEN SPEILBERG film will take readers into the deep behind the scenes workings of bringing this legendary musical to a whole new life. It will include over 250 photos featuring scenes from the film plus the filming. It will also include tons of interviews with Speilberg, updated screenplay writer
Tony Kushner, the full cast, and so much.

Leonard Bernstein and
Stephen Sondheim‘s timeless dark romantic musical is set to be released December 10th, 2021! We have chills just watching it.
FUN FACT: NYBT’s very Michael is in the film. Look out for him as part of an extended group of “Jets” during the DANCE AT THE GYM scene.

DID YOU KNOW: Tony nominee Eva Maria Noblezada’s Aunt Annette Calud Staudinger was part of the original Broadway production of Miss Saigon US.
Annette Cauld (now goes by her married name Staudinger) was a member of the original Broadway cast in 1991 where she was part of the Ensemble and served as the understudy for the lead role of “Kim” (before later becoming the alternate). A year later, Cauld replaced the show’s original Tony and Olivier Award winning star Lea Salonga as “Kim” fulltime.
Some of you might remember Cauld in her performance as “Celina The Dance Teacher” on Sesame Street from 1993 through 1998.
When the word got spread about MISS SAIGON returning to London (and later Broadway), Cauld predicted to her niece Eva Noblezada that she will play “Kim” one day and began training her for it. Little did Noblezada know that she would go on to wow audiences in the West End and Broadway as the star of this new 25th Anniversary revival production.
Be sure to catch Eva Noblezada honoring her aunt Annette Cauld in her powerful, emotional, and spectacular performance as “Kim” in the current Broadway revival of Miss Saigon – Musical set to end it’s limited engagement at the Broadway Theatre on January 14th, 2018.
