The Band’s Visit, David Yazbek & Itamar Moses’ Award-Winning Musical, Will Play Broadway
BREAKING NEWS: Following it’s acclaimed Off Broadway run at Atlantic Theater Company this past Fall, Tony nominee David Yazbek’s smash Award winning new original musical The Band’s Visit is officially coming to Broadway this season! It is set to begin previews October 7th, 2017 and will open November 9th, 2017 at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre.
The musical tells the story of an Egyptian Police band arriving in Israel to play a concert. However after an incident at the border, they are forced to a village in the middle of the desert. Along the way, they lives change in the most unexpected way.
Along with Yazbeck’s score, the new musical features a book by Itamar Moses and direction by David Cromer.
No word has been made if any of the cast from the Off Broadway run will be continuing and reprising their roles for Broadway.
