Tony winner Jane Krakowski to strut down EASY STREET in NBC’s ANNIE LIVE as “Lily St. Regis”!

BREAKING NEWS: Tony Award winner and Emmy nominee Jane Krakowski (Broadway’s NINE, Grand Hotel, and She Loves Me and TV’s Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and 30 Rock) completes the main principal casting for NBC‘s upcoming live televised production of the beloved musical Annie this Holiday season. The versatile stage and screen star will take on the role of the sassy, flirty, sleazy, and sticky-fingered “Lily St. Regis”.
Krakowski steps into the high heels down EASY STREET of so many actresses who have played this sexy bad girl on both stage and screen. The role was originated on Broadway by Barbara Erwin. It was later played to critical acclaim by Rita Rudner, Clovissa Newcombe, Lisa Raggio, Karen Byers-Blackwell, J. Elaine Marcos, Kirsten Wyatt, Megan Hilty, Bernadette Peters (in the 1982 film), Kristin Chenoweth (in the 1999 TV movie), and more.
Krakowski joins the previously announced all-star lineup including….
her Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt co-star Emmy nominee Tituss Burgess as on-screen con-artist boyfriend “Daniel “Rooster” Hannigan”,
Olivier Award nominee and Pop star Nicole Scherzinger as “Grace Ferrell”,
Grammy and Emmy winner and Tony nominee Harry Connick Jr as billionaire “Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks”,
Oscar and Emmy nominee Taraji P. Henson as the cruel “Miss Hannigan” herself,
and
introducing Celina Smith in the titular role of “Annie” herself.

Rehearsals for the new live production begin this Fall 2021.

I DON’T NEED ANYTHING BUT YOU! Grammy and Emmy winner and Tony nominee Harry Connick Jr is set to join the cast of NBC‘s upcoming live televised presentation of the legendary Annie this Holiday season. The legendary Jazz and Broadway star will take on the role of NYC’s legendary depression billionaire “Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks”.
For Connick Jr. playing this iconic role is a dream come true. He steps into the shoes of the unforgettable talents that have brought this role to life both on stage and screen. “Warbucks” is a beloved character that of course becomes the stepfather of “Annie”. The role was originated on Broadway by Reid Shelton. It has later been done so well by Conrad John Schuck (who played the role the longest on Broadway and on tour across America), Harve Presnell, Rhodes Reason, Anthony Warlow, Albert Finney (in the 1982 film), Victor Garber (the 1999 TV movie), and more.
Connick Jr joins the previously announced Oscar and Emmy nominee Taraji P. Henson who will take on the role of the wicked “Miss Hannigan”. The new live production is expecting to star a newcomer performer taking on the titular role of the spunky red-headed orphan that will be found through a virtual nationwide casting call.
