BREAKING NEWS: Tracy Letts’ new political comedy The Minutes has officially announced its long awaited rescheduled dates of restarting it Broadway run and its new home.
Under the direction of Anna D Shapiro, the production will be moving to the legendary Studio 54 (following the Roundabout‘s upcoming Broadway revival of Caroline, Or Change). Previews will resume on March 2022….. exactly 2 YEARS after its originally scheduled Opening Night which was abruptly put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, The NEW official Opening Night is set for April 7th, 2022.
THE MINUTES moves to Studio 54 due to its original Broadway home at the Cort Theatre going through a full scale renovation.
No word has been revealed on who from the cast is expecting to continue and who is new to the show.
As previously announced, Golden Globe nominee Armie Hammar has dropped out of the production due to personal reasons. The rest of the cast that was appearing in the show during its early previews prior to the shutdown included…..
Tracy Letts (also starring in the play) as “Mayor Superba”,
Tony Award winner Jessie Mueller (in her first major straight play on Broadway) as “Ms. Johnson”,
Tony Award nominee K. Todd Freeman as “Mr. Blake”,
Sally Murphy as “Ms. Matz”,
Tony Award winner and Emmy Award nominee Blair Brown as “Ms. Innes”,
