DELIVER US TO THE PROMISE LAND! The Prince of Egypt (the beloved biblical musical animated film based on the Exodus story of Moses and The Ten Commandments) is finally heading for a World Premiere stage production in San Francisco this fall and then heading to Denmark in 2018.
The musical adaptation is expecting to feature a score by the film’s Oscar and Tony winning Stephen Schwartz (WICKED The Musical, Pippin the Musical, Pocahontas) and book by Philip LaZebnik.
Yes, it will feature the film’s Oscar winning song WHEN YOU BELIEVE.
No word has been made if THE PRINCE OF EGYPT will also hit Broadway.
